Magnaloy's original lightweight, heavy-duty flexible drive coupling boasts magnesium construction, making it 76% lighter than cast iron and 36% lighter than aluminum, yet stronger than both. Benefits include reduced loads on bearings, shafts, and pumps for extended life, easier handling and installation, and rust/corrosion resistance. Precise machining tolerances (TIR of .002") ensure vibration-free operation and easy alignment without special tools. Premium Magnaloy couplings feature heat-treated magnesium alloy castings for the highest strength-to-weight ratio. Standard single set-screw over the keyway; optional double set-screws at 45° or 90° to the keyway improve shaft gripping forces. Available upon request with DSS45 or DSS90 following the hub part number. Magnaloy's Clamp feature is available with bored and keyed hubs, specify 'C' following the hub part number.
